should not use this product. Before using this equipment, you must read and understand all usage instructions in this guide.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND PRECAUTIONS:
A sliding fall arrester on a rail-mounted anchorage line (and its rail) is a type of personal protective equipment. It must be assigned to a single user (it
can only be used by one person at a time).

Installation:
Insert the slide at the lower edge of the rail. Make sure that the arrow etched on the slide is pointing up. Press on the bottom stop and pass the slide over
the top. Once the slide is inserted onto the rail, the bottom stop returns to its initial position, preventing the slide form coming off the rail. The system
is ready to be used. At the top section, the track also features an upper stop preventing the slide from accidentally becoming detached. When the user
is in motion (ascending - descending), the device slides freely on the anchorage rail. In the case of a fall, the device immediately blocks the fall, on the
anchorage rail.
Warning: Engaging the guided type fall arrester's release function or handling the guided type fall
arrester during ascent or descent could hinder the safe operation of the braking mechanism and
should be done only from a safe position where there is no risk of a fall.
Connection and disconnection from the rigid anchor line shall be done from a safe place or by using
a separate personal fall protection system.
The device is simple, compact, robust, and does not need any special maintenance.
The system is equipped with a device that makes it impossible to position it in the wrong direction
on the anchorage rail (see figures opposite).
The user's safety depends on the continued effectiveness of the equipment and the proper
understanding of the instructions given in this manual.
The readability of the product's markings must be checked regularly.
The sliding fall arrester will be connected directly to an attachment point at the chest of an EN361 harness (A or 2x A/2) using a connector (EN362).
The full body harness should be properly adjusted to a snug fit and should not be used in loose. If the harness becomes loose during ascent or descent, it
should be correctly adjusted again from a secure position.
The length of the connecting element shall not be extended or shortened (e.g. by adding or subtracting a connector).
The sliding fall arrester shall not be used for work positioning. If work positioning is required, a separate system shall be used.
It is prohibited to use the device with sharp edges, structures with small diameters and corrosion as this can affect the performance of the system, unless
these are adequately protected.
The device's anchoring point must be positioned above the user and must comply with standard EN795 (R>12kN - EN795:2012 or R>10kN -
EN795:1996). Check that the general position limits the pendulum movement in the event of a fall and that the work is done so as to limit the risk and
height of a fall. For safety reasons and before each use, make sure that, in case of a fall, there are no obstacles to prevent the normal operation of the
system.
The clearance must be at least: 2 m under the user.
Before and during use, we recommend that you make the necessary arrangements for a safe rescue, should this be required. The system (sliding fall
arrester + rigid anchor line) can only be used by one person at a time, therefore the rescue plan shall take this restriction into consideration.
This equipment must only be used by trained, competent and healthy persons, or under the supervision of a trained and competent person. Warning!
Certain medical conditions can affect user safety, if in doubt please contact your doctor.
Be aware of the hazards that could reduce the performance of your equipment, and therefore the user's safety, if exposed to extreme temperatures (<
-30°C or > 50°C), prolonged exposure to the elements (UV rays, humidity), chemical agents, electrical constraints, twisting of the fall arrest system
during use, sharp edges, friction or cutting, etc.
Use the product between: -30°C / 50°C.
Before each use, check that the blocking system is working and that the fall indicator light is not on, that the spring, the safety rod and the 4 wheels are
present and in good working order. If there is any doubt as to the condition of the device (traces of oxidation) or after a fall (deformation), it must not be
reused (marking it with the words "DO NOT USE" is recommended) and must be returned to the manufacturer or to a qualified person appointed by the
manufacturer. The same applies to the anchorage line.
It is prohibited to remove or replace any of the device's components.
Chemical products: do not use the device in the event of contact with chemical products, solvents or fuels which could affect its operation.
This product must not be used in a highly acidic or basic environment.
