The VisiLED MC series is an innovative illumination system using white LEDs,
specially developed for the fields of stereo microscopy and macroscopy, as well
as Machine Vision. The system is intended for industrial, laboratory and medi-
cal applications. For medical applications the system is designed to illuminate
observation areas where there is no indirect or direct contact with patients.
Please read and follow these instructions carefully. The VisiLED system's
safety cannot be guaranteed if they are not obeyed.
● In accordance with the EN60825-1 standard the LED illuminations of the
VisiLED MC Series are classed as products under laser class 1.
● The VisiLED MC Series illumination system conforms with the following
European Directives:
73/23/EWG with modifications (Low Voltage Directive)
89/336/EWG with modifications (EMV Directive)
The technical documentation and full compliance with the standards listed
below proves the conformity with the essential requirements of the above-
mentioned EC Directives:
EN 61010-1:2001
EN 60825:1994 + A1:1996 + A2:2001
EN 61326-1:1997 + A1:1998
EN 60601-1:1990 + A1:1993 + A2:1995
● LEDs feature a very high luminance. Therefore, do not look directly into the
LEDs when the illumination is switched on (Danger of ophthalmic injury.)!
● To avoid unnecessary stressing of your specimen by illumination with visible
light, reduce the brightness and duration of illumination to the minimum
required.
