Unit for the treatment of mains water
Removes hardness and pollutants from mains water using reverse osmosis

Instructions for use and technical data
JBL Osmosis 120 efficiently removes pollutants (pesticides, heavy metals, nitrite,
nitrate etc.), salts and hardening constituents from the mains water, producing
soft, highly pure initial water for the care of aquarium fish. Bacteria are also largely
removed. The unit operates without electricity or chemicals, using only the pressure
of the mains water. The heart of the unit is a modern polyamide/polysulphone
membrane, which operates like a sieve, retaining all particles which are larger than
a pure water molecule. The „driving force" is the pressure of the mains water, which
should be at least 3 bar.

Applications

1. Blending (mixing) mains water and osmosis water
If the mains water does not contain any significant level of pollutants (without nitrate
and phosphate), mains water can be mixed with osmosis water in order to achieve
the reduction in hardness needed for the care of certain species of fish. In order to
calculate the quantities of water required, the well-proven cross-calculation can be
used:
