3. Safety Instructions

Please observe the instructions on foreseeable misuse and residual risks as well as the special instructions and technical data specified on pages 14 to 19 of
this manual to reduce danger to life and limb to a minimum.
Please note the standards and regulations applicable to your industrial control panel enclosure / your low-voltage switchgear and control-gear assembly.
- Make sure that the control cabinet is disconnected from the power supply and secure it against accidental unintentional energizing.
- For all transport including moving to the installation site and unpacking as well as the mounting, make sure that the product is not damaged or rendered
unserviceable.
- Observe further instructions according to the scope of delivery.
- Use suitable climbing aids adapted to the working height.
- If the Rain Rail3R is installed at a height of less than 2 meters, measured from the (floor) bottom, the product must be visibly marked.
- Observe the torque specifications.
- Only use the supplied mounting hardware to ensure the potential equalization.
- Avoid dynamic loads.
Foreseeable Misuse:
- No alignment, wrong selection of mounting hardware, use of improper tools.
- Insufficient qualification of staff.
- Visual inspections and functional tests are not carried out.
- Bumping against protruding edges.
- No cleaning.

Residual risks:

- Crushing or impacts from tipping or falling objects.
- Cutting at sharp edges.
- Slipping, falling on dirty, wet, slippery floors.
- Electric shock.
These residual risks can be avoided by working attentively and implementing protective measures as provided by the operater.

4. Instructions for Installation, Mounting and Use

- Please observe the operation order specified in heading "Mounting".
- When using climing aids and/or handling large or heavy parts, check if the assistance of a second person is useful or necessary.
- Please check the product for completeness - see scope of delivery.
- Please check the product for damage before installation.
- Please clean dirty enclosures.
- Most of the components are reused, please refer to the note specified in heading "Preparatation".

4.1 Technical Data

Torque specifications:
The data specified in heading "Mounting" were determined once for the different types and represent binding values subject to optimum conditions (e.g.
straight application of thread-forming screws). Make sure that all screws are tightened uniformly.
