Open the machine and lay the wiring harness as follows:
Disconnect the machine from the gas (if applicable) and electric mains and ensure utilities cannot be
switched on again in error.
Remove the screws on the left and right of the top of the lid.
Lift the front of the lid slightly, slide it to the rear and thus release the centring cones at the rear of the lid
from the connection strip.
Remove the lid upwards.
Connect the wiring harness N1L_ST18; X1-1 to plug connector ST18 on electronic module ELP 235. See
the wiring diagram.
Lay the wiring harness N1L_ST18; X1-1 along the left of the component support through the machine in
the area of the electrical connection, Fig. 1.
Secure the payment system connection socket X1/1 of the wiring harness N1L_ST18; X1-1 with the cable
holder.
Payment system activation:
Disconnect the NTC temperature sensor (R30) plug from plug connector ST6 on the electronic module
ELP 235. See the wiring diagram.
Reconnect the machine to the mains and switch it on.
Access the service mode.
Select menu item Main menu
system.
Select the desired option with the multifunction selector switch: No, Programme, Time, Serial, Prepaid
card. For washing, usually Programme, for drying, usually Time or Programme.
Activate the OK button to select the desired option.
To save the selected option, press and release the multifunction button under the Save symbol (disk).
To quit the service mode, switch off the machine and disconnect it from the mains.
Reconnect the NTC temperature sensor (R30) plug to plug connector ST6 on the electronic module
ELP 235.
Connect the payment system to the payment system connection socket X1/1.
Note
Break out the pre-punched area in the machine rear panel.
Pass the payment system cable through the new opening into the machine and fit the cable throughfeed.
Refit the machine lid.
Carry out appropriate safety checks.
Reconnect the machine to the electrical supply and, if appropriate, the gas supply. Switch the utilities on.
Carry out a functional check of the payment system.
Carry out a complete programme with the machine and allow it to run to its end.
Note
After programming the machine for payment system operation and saving this programming, a complete
programme must be carried out. This must be longer than 3 min. The control only registers payment system
operation properly after this programme has finished!
