Open up the machine and arrange the wiring harness:
Disconnect the machine from the electrical supply and gas supply (if applicable) and ensure that power
cannot be switched on again in error.
Remove the left and right screws from the machine lid.
Pull the lid slightly forward, push it back and unhook it from the connection strip.
Remove the lid.
Connect wiring harness N1L_ST18; X1-1 to ST18 on the ELP 235 electronic. See the wiring diagram.
Feed wiring harness N1L_ST18; X1-1 to the left of the module holder through the machine near the
connection box; see Fig. 1
Secure payment system socket X1/1 on wiring harness N1L_ST18; X1-1 there with a cable tie.
Register the payment system type:
Disconnect the plug for NTC R30 from ST6 on the ELP 235 electronic. See the wiring diagram.
Connect the machine to the electrical supply and switch it on.
Change the control in service mode.
Select Main menu Service Service settings Basic settings Coins.
Scroll to the desired setting using the multifunction selector switch: No, Program, Time, Serial, Coin box.
For washers, usually Program; for dryers, usually Time or Program.
Press OK to select the setting.
To save the selected option, press and release the Diskette symbol.
To quit service mode, switch the machine off and disconnect it from the power supply.
Reconnect NTC R30 to ST6 on the ELP 235 electronic.
Connect the payment system to socket X1/1.
Note
Knock out the pre-punched hole on the machine rear panel.
Feed the payment system wiring harness through the hole and secure it using the cable guide.
Re-install the machine lid.
Carry out a safety check.
Reconnect the machine to the electrical and gas supplies and switch it on.
Check the functionality of the payment system.
Run a complete program.
Note
After programming the machine for payment system operation and saving this programming, the machine
must run through a complete wash program lasting longer than 3 minutes. Only then is the control ready for
payment system operation!
