Do not fill the basket to capacity;
refer to the "Setting" table above for
maximum quantities.
Push the basket down into the
basket
holder until you hear a slight click.
When you fry greasy ingredients in
the Smart Fryer, a large amount of oil
will leak into the pan. The oil
produces white smoke and the pan
may heat up more than usual. This
does not affect the appliance or the
end result.
White smoke is caused by grease
heating up in the basket holder;
make sure you clean the basket and
basket holder thoroughly after each
use.
Use fresh potatoes and make sure
they stay firm during frying.
Rinse the potato sticks thoroughly to
remove starch from the outside of
the sticks.
Make sure you dry the potato sticks
properly before you add the oil.
Cut the potatoes into thinner sticks
for a crispier result.
Add slightly more oil for a crispier
result.
