Operation
Switching the device on/off
To turn the device on, press the
ON/HOLD key.
After a few seconds (self-test) the de-
vice is ready to take measurements and
already displays the current pH value.
A small battery symbol that shows the
remaining charge in the device battery
(see page 35) appears at the top left of
the display.
To turn the device off, press the ON/
HOLD key until "OFF" appears on
the display (several seconds).
If you forget to turn off the device it will
turn off automatically – provided this set-
ting has not been modified (see page
23) – after two hours of operation to con-
serve the battery.

Activation/désactivation de
l'appareil
Pour allumer l'appareil, appuyer sur
la touche ON/HOLD.
Après quelques secondes (test interne)
l'appareil est prêt à mesurer et montre
déjà le pH actuel.
En haut, à gauche de l'écran apparaît
un petit symbole de batterie, qui montre
l'état de chargement de la batterie de
l'appareil (voir page 35).
Pour éteindre l'appareil, appuyez
longtemps (pendant plusieurs se-
condes) sur la touche ON/HOLD,
jusqu'à ce que «OFF» apparaisse
sur l'écran.
Si l'on oublie d'éteindre l'appareil, il
s'éteint – si il n'a pas été programmé
autrement (voir page 23) – automatique.
