Before Use
Connecting the gas heater to a gas cylinder
Proceed as follows to connect the gas heater to a gas cylinder:
• Make sure that the gas cylinder valve as well as the gas regulator knob
the gas heater are closed.
• Check the condition of the gas hose
before every use. Do not use a hose or a pressure regulator that show any
signs of deterioration.
• Connect the pressure regulator to
the gas cylinder (Note: left-handed
thread).
• Tighten the connection by hand.
• Tighten the connection only using
an appropriate wrench.
• On the gas heater, remove the red
protective cap on the connection
for the gas hose by turning it
clockwise.
• Connect the gas hose to the gas
pressure regulator and to the
3
connection
(left-hand thread).
• Tighten the connections using a
wrench.
• Open the gas cylinder.
• Check if all connections are tight (e.g. using a leak detector spray) and, if
necessary, tighten the connections. Do not use the gas heater if you suspect
a leakage.
• The gas heater is now ready for use. Now close the gas cylinder if you do not
want to use the gas heater immediately.
