IMPORTANT SAFTY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be taken, including
the following:
WARNING-To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:
1. Do not leave vacuum cleaner when plugged in. Unplug from the socket when not being
used and before servicing.
2. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces
3. Use only as described in this manual. Use only the manufacture's recommended
attachments.
4. Do not use if cable or plug is damaged. If vacuum cleaner is not working properly, has
been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, take it to a service
centre.
5. Do not pull on or carry the appliance using the cable, use the cable as a handle, close
a door on the cable, or pull the cable around sharp edges or corners. Do not run
vacuum cleaner over the cable. Keep the cable away from heated surfaces
6. Do not unplug by pulling on the cable. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cable.
7. Do not handle the plug or vacuum cleaner with wet hands.
8. Do not put any object into openings. Do not use if any opening is blocked. Keep free of
dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce airflow.
9. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of body away from openings and moving
parts.
10. Turn all controls off before unplugging.
11. Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
12. Do not use to suck up flammable or combustible liquids, such as petrol, or use in
areas where they may be present.
13. Hold the plug when rewinding onto cable reel. Do not allow the plug to whip around
when rewinding.
14 Unplug before connecting the hose.
