12 Scale operation
Note
4. After the weight is displayed, press ZERO.
0000 is displayed.
5. Replace the dry diaper with the wet diaper on the center of the cradle.
The scale displays a series of moving dashes until the wet diaper is detected. Once
detected, three beeps sound and the weight displays.
Note
6. The displayed weight is the difference between the wet and dry diaper. Record the
measurement displayed on the scale.
Note
To ensure the most accurate measurements, do the following:
•
Perform the procedure each time a urine output measurement is needed.
•
Do not rely on subtracting a known weight for a dry diaper from the displayed weight
of a wet diaper.
•
Remove any fecal matter from the wet diaper before starting the weighing
procedure. The change in the dry and wet diaper should only reflect urine content.
A series of moving dashes indicates that a tared weight is stored in the scale memory, or
that there is a negative weight on the scale. Press ZERO to clear the tare value and reset
the scale.
