Prior to fi rst use
Before you use the device, you must
• unpack the device and check it for transport damages,
• clean the device,
• insert the batteries in the device.

Unpacking the device

ATTENTION!
❐ Danger of suffocation by the wrapper and bags. Keep children and pets away from the
packaging.
Unpack the device and the accessories. Using the list of product contents (see "Product
contents" section), check the contents for completeness and possible transport damage.
Should you identify any transport damages, do not use the device (!), instead please promptly
consult customer service (see section "Customer Service").

Cleaning the device

ATTENTION!
❐ Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance. They could
damage the unit.
❐ Do not use any chemicals to clean the silicone electrodes.
Clean the device with a damp cloth and then immediately wipe it dry with a dry cloth.

Inserting batteries

ATTENTION!
❐ Batteries may be life threatening if swallowed. Therefore keep batteries and the device
out of the reach of young children. Should a battery be swallowed seek medical help im-
mediately.
• You need 2 batteries for the control unit (1.5 V batteries, Type AAA). They are included
in the product contents.
• When the batteries are low, the battery light will turn off. Change the batteries immedi-
ately to ensure that the device functions properly.

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the control unit by
pulling it towards the arrow.
2. Insert two batteries. In the process, ensure that they are ar-
ranged with the correct polarity (+/-)!
3. Close the battery compartment.
