6.2 Causes and rectification of faults

The following table assists in localizing and rectifying minor faults.
Problem
Coffee brews too slowly
(more than 10 minutes) or
is not hot enough
There is coffee grounds in
the coffee pot
Coffee has accumulated in
the filter and coffee
grounds overflowed.
The drip-stop does not
work
Water leaks from the
bottom of the device.

7 Disposal of the Old Device

To protect the environment, it's important to dispose of old electronic devices
properly. Do not place your old unit in the non-recyclable waste under any
circumstances.
Please note
► Please take your old unit to the nearest recycling center for safe disposal.
► Until it can be disposed of properly, store your old unit away from children.
Possible cause
Device is calcified
Device needs to be cleaned.
The paper filter is too small.
Too much coffee ground is used.
The coffee pot was not placed on the
warming plate for too long time during
the brewing process, so that the filter
could not empty.
Too much coffee ground is used.
Residues of coffee at drip-stop
Device is defective.
Possible solution
Descale the device regularly, look
at chapter descaling.
Clean the device (esepcially the
drip-stop valve).
Us the permanent filter or paper
filter in size 1x4.
Use lee coffee ground.
Unplug the mains plug.
Place the coffee pot on the
warming plate so that the filter can
empty.
Clean the device.
Use lee coffee ground.
Clean the valve (at the bottom of
the filter holder) under running
water and press carefully the drip
stop several times.
Unplug the mains plug.
Do not use the device anymore.
Contact the customer service.
