CLEANING THE PRE FILTER
• Lie the unit on its side so you can see the filter cartridge at the bottom of the appliance.
• Hold the grip on the filter cartridge and press in the direction of the arrow to release the hooks that hold the cartridge in
the unit. Remove the cartridge, holding it by this grip.
• One by one, gently straighten the fasteners along the filter cartridge and remove the washable pre-filter (a blue mesh)
from the case.
• Gently clean the pre-filter with a vacuum cleaner. If you want to wash the pre-filter, do so with water and a mild
household detergent, then rinse and shake to remove excess water.
N.B.:
For normal use, you should clean the filter every three months. The frequency with which it will need replacing will
depend on the room in which it is used. Follow the instructions given above to clean the pre-filter.

PROBLEMS
The remote control is not working.

POTENTIAL CAUSES
• The batteries are flat.
• The batteries are not inserted
correctly.
• The fuse has blown.
• The filter is not fully inserted.
• The appliance is not plugged in
properly.
• The filter is not assembled properly.
• The filter cartridge is in the wrong
way round.
• You have forgotten to remove the
plastic cover from the filter.
• The filter is too dirty to work.
SOLUTIONS
Replace the batteries.
Make sure that the batteries are
inserted correctly in the remote
control.
Replace the fuse
Make sure the filter is fully inserted.
Make sure the appliance is plugged
in properly.
Check the assembly of the filter.
Take out the filter and put it back the
right way round.
Remove the plastic cover from the
filter.
The pre-filter may need cleaning or
the multi-layer filtration kit needs to
be replaced.
