• Install the air filter at least 10 cm from the wall.
• Push on the « START » button to turn the appliance on. A blue screen lights up. Push the SPEED button several times to
adjust the speed of the fan (high, medium, low). The motor fan comes on the screen to show that it is in operation.
• To use the ionizer, push the IONIZER/UV once. A little tree will be displayed on the screen when this function is in
operation. Push it again to turn it off.
• Push the TIMER several times to select 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours of operation. The duration chosen will flash and then start up
automatically after 3 seconds.
• The blue screen will come on every time you push a button and will go off automatically after 30 seconds. The
appliance also makes a sound every time your push a button when using the appliance normally.
• The time displayed on the LCD screen shows the time that the appliance has been in operation.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
• To have your air filter operate properly, put it in the correct position and adjust it correctly for the time of year and your
geographic location. Use the automatic mode and set the time for greater effectiveness.
• For better elimination of dust and pollen: Put the appliance on or near the ground, so that it attracts falling dust.
Operate it in manual mode at top speed.
• The air filter eliminates nicotine and tar in the presence of cigarette smoke: Put the appliance in the room where
someone is smoking in order to absorb the smoke. However, toxic elements like the carbon oxides produced by the
cigarette cannot be eliminated.
• For optimal life of the filters: Careful maintenance is the key to the life of your filters. If the filters operate a long time
without being cleaned, they get coated coat with dust, making the appliance less effective and noisier.
Maintenance
• Please unplug the appliance before any maintenance. If the appliance were to start up unexpectedly, you could get an
electric shock or hurt yourself.
• Do not use benzene, solvents or corrosive detergents to clean the appliance.
Clean the body of the appliance (once a month roughly)
Clean the appliance with a soft cloth dampened in warm water and then dry it with a dry cloth.
Cleaning the filters
Vacuum the filters at least once a month.
Note
• Damage to the filters can reduce the effectiveness of the appliance.
• Do not remove the self-adhesive tape on the filters.
• Refrain from pushing the vacuum hose hard on the panel and the filters to avoid damaging them.
• Do not wash the filters in water.
