Step 3: Set up network
ReelBox name
Enter the desired name for the
ReelBox – e.g. ReelVDR.

Use internal interface
Enter Yes here if you want to
connect the ReelBox to a computer
network. Further possibilities for
settings follow that.
Use DHCP
Enter Yes here if your ReelBox
should receive an IP address as
well as further network settings
automatically by DHCP (Dynamic
Host Configuration Protocol)
(e.g. from a router or server in your
network).
If you do not want to make use of
DHCP, then you need to manually
configure the network connection
of the ReelBox by the following
settings: Domain, Gateway,
Nameserver, IP address, network
mask.

The IP address for gateway and
name server corresponds as a rule
to the IP address of your router.
Please use an address that has
not yet been used in the network
as the IP address of the ReelBox
(except those ending with 0, 1 or
255).
If there are problems, please
contact your network administra-
tor to get the appropriate data.
All settings necessary for the operation
of your ReelBox have now been made.
End the installation assistant by
pressing the
button on the remote
D
control.
In case you want to check your entries
once more or make some changes,
then you can return to the individual
installation steps by pressing the
button.
Restart the ReelBox
Press the POWER + EJECT +
RECORD buttons on the front of the
device at the same time to reboot the
system.
