2. On the camera handset, roll the Power Switch (8) to turn the handset ON
3. The Power Indicator Light (3) will be red; wait until the light turns green, which takes
approximately 40 seconds
4. On the mobile device, look for 'CAM8802' in the Wi-Fi/Wlan available networks and connect to it.
This is the video camera's Service Set Identifier (SSID) or Wi-Fi network name
5. Input the default password: 123456789
6. Once the mobile device is connected to the network, the Wi-Fi camera is ready to use
Note: Multiple devices can simultaneously connect to the handset at one time.
Note: The default password and SSID can be changed using the app. If the custom password or SSID
is forgotten, press the Reset Button (5) on the handset for 10 seconds while the handset is on. This
will restore the handset to its factory default (Fig IX).
Operation
WARNING: Only the Camera Lens Housing (1) and Flexible Camera Cable (10) are waterproof. The
Wi-Fi handset and compatible mobile device are not waterproof. DO NOT immerse the handset and
mobile device in water or other liquid, and always dry hands before operating the device, changing
batteries, or pressing any of the buttons on the handset or mobile device.
Using the flexible camera cable
• The Flexible Camera Cable (10) and the Camera Lens Housing (1) are waterproof and can be used
in water and other cool, non-corrosive liquids
• Ensure the Flexible Camera Cable is securely connected to the handset before use (see 'Attaching
the flexible camera cable')
• The brightness of the lights in the Camera Lens Housing can be controlled by the Power Switch
(8) dial
• The Flexible Camera Cable can be bent into any shape, making it convenient for checking a
variety of areas and hard-to-see places (Fig VII)
HD WifiCam app
Note: This app is compatible with Apple iOS iPhones and iPads, and Android mobile phones and
tablets. (See 'Downloading the app' . )
Note: Connect your mobile device wirelessly using the Wi-Fi connection before opening the app.
(See 'Setting up the Wi-Fi connection between mobile device and handset' . )
Note: Ensure the Flexible Camera Cable (10) is securely connected before attempting to use the
app. (See 'Attaching the flexible camera cable' . )
1. Once a wireless connection has been established between the mobile device and the camera
handset, open the 'HD WifiCam' app
2. The app will display the image generated by the camera and transmitted by the handset
Note: Multiple mobile devices can connect to the camera and handset using the app
simultaneously.
3. The camera can now be used (Fig VII & VIII)
Notes on using the HD WifiCam app
• Rotate the mobile device to display the app in either landscape or portrait
• Photo Button (15): press this button to capture a still photographic image. It will be saved to
the mobile device's storage, which can be accessed in the device's photograph folder or via the
Storage Folder (17) on the app
• Video Record Button (16): press this button to begin recording silent video. Press the button
again to stop the recording. The video will be saved to the mobile device's storage, which can be
accessed through the device's video folder or via the Storage Folder on the app
• Storage Folder: press this button to access captured pictures or videos
• Up & Down Mirror Image (18): press this button to flip the image vertically, up or down
• Left & Right Mirror Image (19): press this button to flip the image horizontally, left or right
• Settings (20): press this button to access other settings on the app, such as access to changing
the default SSID and password to a custom SSID and password (Fig V)
Note: If the SSID or password is changed from the default SSID or password, the Wi-Fi/Wlan settings
on the mobile device will need to be updated so that it can connect to the camera handset. After
changing the SSID and/or the password from the default and these custom settings are forgotten,
press and hold the Reset Button (5) for 10 seconds while the handset is switched on to revert back to
the handset's factory default SSID and password settings.
• Online Status (21): this displays the status of the camera connection. If other parts of the app are
accessed, this position becomes a back button triangle
The light
• To turn the Light (9) ON, ensure the handset is turned ON first then press the Light Switch (6)
button ON
• To turn the Light OFF, press the Light Switch button again

Maintenance
• Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storage
• Clean with care using a damp cloth or similar if needed
• Do not immerse any part of the Wi-Fi handset in water or other liquid and do not use abrasive
cleaning materials on any part of the device
Storage
• Always remove batteries before storing for a long time to prevent battery drain, battery leakage,
and damage to the device
• Store the product and all accessories in the case supplied, in a dry environment out of the reach
of children
Disposal
Always adhere to national regulations when disposing of power tools that are no longer functional
and are not viable for repair.
• Do not dispose of power tools or other waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) with
household waste
• Contact your local waste disposal authority for information on the correct way to dispose of power
tools
