Intended Use
Video camera for inspecting hard-to-reach places in lofts and buildings, or for automotive work.
Includes torch light, flexible waterproof camera cable, magnet, mirror, hook, and mobile phone
holder. Connects wirelessly via Wi-Fi to a mobile device that can be used as a video display monitor
and recorder using the downloadable app for Android or Apple platforms.

Unpacking Your Tool

• Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Familiarise yourself with all its features and functions.
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing or
damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool.

Before Use

Battery installation
Note: This tool requires 4 x AA batteries (included). The Battery Insert (7) is accessed on the bottom
of the handset handle, which has a sliding cover.
1. Slide open the cover of the Battery Insert (Fig I)
2. Install batteries correctly, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on the batteries
match up with the device terminals (Fig II)
3. Close the Battery Insert cover
4. The device is ready to use
Note: The Power Indicator Light (3) illuminates green when the batteries have significant charge.
When the batteries lose charge, the Power Indicator Light flashes red. Replace the batteries if the
Power Indicator Light flashes red.
Note: Use the same type of battery. Do not mix batteries. Replace all batteries at the same time.
HD WiFi Video Inspection Camera
Attaching the flexible camera cable
• The Flexible Camera Cable (10) can be attached to the Wi-Fi handset via the Camera Cable Plug/
Socket (2) by ensuring the connection is fitted the correct way (Fig III & IV)
• Ensure the Camera Cable Plug/Socket is aligned before connecting by using the guide (Images A
& B) to align the plug and the socket correctly
• Secure the Camera Cable Plug/Socket by turning the threaded sleeve (Fig IV). To remove the
Flexible Camera Cable, loosen the threaded sleeve before unplugging the cable
Attaching the camera accessories
• Three accessories are supplied for use with the camera: Mirror (11), Magnet (12) and Hook (13)
• The Hook or Magnet can be used to retrieve small items, such as dropped rings or screws
• All these accessories attach in the same way:
1. On the accessory shaft is a small hook that can be hooked in to the small hole on the side of the
Camera Lens Housing (1) (Image C)
2. Align the accessory shaft with the channel on the inside of the Accessory Ring (14) and slide the
Accessory Ring on to the Camera Lens Housing to secure the accessory (Image D)
Attaching a mobile phone to the Mobile-Phone
Holder
• The Mobile-Phone Holder (4) has an extendable support arm, which can extend and retract to
suit most mobile phone widths
• Pull the Mobile-Phone Holder's support arm up then insert the phone. Retract the support arm
and the phone will be secure in the holder (Fig VI)
Note: Only mobile phones 80mm wide will fit in the holder.
Switching the handset ON/OFF
• Roll the Power Switch (8) until it clicks ON (Fig V)
• The Power Indicator Light (3) will illuminate red for approximately 40 seconds
• When the Power Indicator Light turns green, the handset is ready for use
• To turn the handset OFF, roll the Power Switch until it clicks OFF and the Power Indicator Light
darkens
Note: The Power Switch dial controls the brightness level of the LED lights in the Camera Lens
Housing (1). Rotate the dial to the desired brightness level.
WARNING: When the LED lights in the Camera Lens Housing are on, they can become very hot. Be
careful not to touch the Camera Lens Housing when hot and do not install any of the accessories
until the Camera Lens Housing is cooled.
Downloading the app
Note: Only mobile devices (mobile phones and tablets) that have Apple iOS or Android are
compatible with the app required to use Wi-Fi Video Inspection Camera. There is no manual, wired
video output on the handset.
iPhones and iPads
• Enter the Apple App Store on your iPhone or iPad and search for 'HD WifiCam' , then download
the app
Android phones and tablets
• Enter the Google Play Shop on your Android mobile phone or tablet and search for 'HD WifiCam' ,
then download the app
Setting up the Wi-Fi connection between mobile
device and handset
1. On the mobile phone or tablet/iPad, navigate to the Wi-Fi/Wlan settings and ensure that the
Wi-Fi/Wlan is turned ON
