5) Tighten two M6 screws with threaded length longer than 50 mm in
the two holes of the secondary pulley. This allows you to move away
the two pulleys so as to slacken the belt (Fig. 2).
6) Remove the primary pulley nut.
7) Slide out the bush with its two O-rings and the whole converter
assembly.
8) Insert the weights in the Top Performances pulley (kit includes two
sets of weights, the lighter set results in a sportier response).
9) Install the driving blocks on block holder plate.
10) Install the block holder plate onto Top Performances pulley.
11) Check belt for wear; renew it if damaged or worn (refer to the
vehicle use and maintenance manual).
12) Refi t the belt.
13) WARNING: only for 500cc. models from 2004 to 2011.
Insert two shims ø 32.5 x 25.2 x 0.5 mm supplied with the kit and
take them fully home against the fi xed pulley.
14) Fit the Variotop assembly previously assembled.
15) WARNING: only for 530cc models. (2012).
Fit spacer ø 38 x 25 x 4 mm.
16) Fit the bushing with two O-rings.
17) Tighten the nut (tightening torque: 160 Nm) after greasing the thread
and seat of primary pulley nut (before tightening the nut ensure
that the teeth of block holder plate is engaged in the crankshaft
teeth. While tightening, hold the block holder plate to avoid the
teeth from disengaging).
