scribed in this manual. Only use
OEM parts. Risk of injury!
Turn off the appliance and, before
doing any servicing, remove the
battery.
Wear cut-protection gloves while
working with the cutting unit.
The following cleaning and servicing
should be done regularly. This will ensure
a long and reliable service life.

General Cleaning Work

Do not spray the appliance with
water and do not immerse it in
water. Electric shock hazard!
Always keep the device clean.
- Remove deposits, grass clippings
or escaping lubricant from the mo-
tor, air vents and handles. Use a
damp cloth or brush to do this.
Do not use any cleaning agents or
solvents. This could damage the
machine irreparably.
- After each use, clean the cutting at-
tachments and the protective cover
– if applicable – of contaminants.
- After each use, you
must clean the safety
cutter bar (with an oily
rag) and lubricate it
with an oil can or
spray.

• Prior to every use, check the appli-
ance for obvious defects such as
loose, worn or damaged parts.
• Check covers and safety devices for
damages and correct installation. Re-
place as necessary.
The blade bar must be checked regu-
larly for wear and reground. A blunt
cutting accessory will overload the
device and has to be replaced.

Storage

Clean the device prior to storage.
• Attach the blade guard (
Store the device in a dry, frost-free,
and dust-protected place and out of
reach of children.
• Remove the rechargeable battery
from the device during a longer stor-
age period (e.g. wintering).
Store the battery only in a partially
charged state. The state of charge
should be 40 – 60 % over a longer
storage period. (two LED lights of the
state of charge display light up green).
During a longer storage period, check
the state of charge of the battery and
recharge if necessary roughly every
3 months.
Store the equipment between 10°
C and 25° C. During storage, avoid
extreme cold or heat so the battery
does not lose power.
Disposal and protection
of the environment
Remove the battery from the device and
recycle the device, battery, and packag-
ing in an environmentally-friendly manner
Machines do not belong with
domestic waste.
