Cleaning the cooling unit - Unit cover removal
Requirement

The cooling unit is de-energized.
Procedure
Loosen and remove the front panel; see
Always disconnect the ground cable before removing the front panel.
Loosen and remove the unit cover; see
Always disconnect the ground cable before removing the unit cover.
The unit cover is removed.
5.3
Cooling unit and filter mat cleaning tasks
NOTE
Danger of damage to the filter mat due to improper cleaning
Do not wring out filter mats.
Avoid water jets with high pressure.
Immediately replace filter mats that are contaminated with oil or grease.
Requirements

The cooling unit is de-energized.

The unit cover is removed.
Time intervals for the cleaning or replacement of filter mats depend heavily on the ambient air contamination.
Required tools and material

Brush
-
Water below 40 °C
-
Fine washing detergent
-
Vacuum or compressed air cleaner
Procedure
Clean the heat exchangers using a soft brush or compressed air.
If the cooling units have a pre-filter the filter mat must be cleaned at regular intervals.
Wash the filter mat with water with a temperature of up to 40 °C and commercially available fine washing
detergent.
If the dirt is dry, vacuum, blow or knock the dirt off of the filter mat.
Ensure that correct and safe operation is assured after cleaning.
The cooling unit is clean.
