Cleaning
The atomiser and the accessories such
as mouthpiece, mask, nosepiece, nozzle
attachment, etc. must be cleaned with hot
water after each use. Carefully dry all
components using a soft cloth. Once they
are completely dry, reassemble the parts
and place in a dry, sealed container or
proceed with sterilisation.
When cleaning, make sure that all resi-
dues are removed. Never use any sub-
stances that may be poisonous when in
contact with the skin or mucous mem-
branes, or when swallowed or inhaled.
Important
Before you clean the unit, always
switch it off, unplug it and let it cool off.
Ensure that no water penetrates inside
the unit!
Do not put the device or accessories in a
dishwasher.
Do not touch the unit with wet hands
while it is plugged in; do not allow any
water to be sprayed onto the unit.
The unit must be operated only when it
is completely dry.
Do not spray any liquids into the venti-
lation slots. Any liquid that penetrates
into the unit can damage the electrical
parts or other components of the com-
pressor and impair the function of the
device.
Clean the device using a damp cloth, to
which you can apply a little detergent if
necessary.
Do not use abrasive detergents and ne-
ver immerse the unit in water.
Condensation, care of the hose
Depending on the environmental conditions,
condensation may collect in the hose. To
prevent against bacterial growth and to en-
sure effective therapeutic use, this moisture
must always be removed. To remove mois-
ture from the hose, proceed as follows:
Remove the hose [15] from the nebu-
liser [11].
Leave the hose plugged into the com-
pressor [6].
Run the compressor until all the mois-
ture has been displaced by the flow of
air.
In the event of significant contaminant de-
posits, replace the hose.
Sterilisation
Accessories (with the exception of the ho-
se) can be sterilised using specific prod-
ucts such as the MILTON® method: they
must be rinsed until all traces of disinfec-
tant are removed, dried, and stored in a
dry and dust-free room. Accessories (with
the exception of the hose) can also be ste-
rilised by placing them for at least 40 min-
utes in boiling water (100°C) or at least 20
minutes in an autoclave (120°C). Do not
bend the accessories or place any weights
on top of them. Do not exceed the speci-
fied temperatures, and use a sterile bag if
possible. Ensure that the water level is suf-
ficient to prevent nebuliser parts coming
into direct contact with the bottom of the
pan.
