5.3.2 Central heating connection with thermosiphon
The connection is made according to the diagram using pipes with a
minimum interior diameter of 40 mm. The heating circuit must be as short
and direct as possible and insulated.
Changes in direction must be made with large radius curves.
● The water heater must be installed above the level of the boiler.
● The water heater unions are 1" 1/4.
● Ideally, steel pipes should be used to avoid the risk of corrosion.
● Before filling the installation, the circuit must be completely cleaned
by circulating water, to remove any metal particles etc. which could
damage the safety components; then bleed the circuit.

controllable non-return valve (standard P 43-007)
54 YA-type pressure break (domestic water regulations)

57 Domestic hot water outlet
Note
It may be beneficial to replace the assembly (53*, 9*, 55*, 17*)
with a type 30 diaphragm safety unit (Figures 10 & 11) bearing
the NF mark (standard NF D 36-401), on condition that the
following is adhered to:
- the safety unit and its connection to the tank must be the
same diameter as the cold water supply pipe used in the tank's
domestic water circuit (at least 3/4"),
- the level of the safety unit must be below that of the cold water
inlet (Figure 12),
- the drainage pipe must have a continuous and sufficient
gradient, and its cross section must be at least equal to the
cross section of the opening of the safety unit outlet (to prevent
the flow of water being hindered if the pressure is too high).
