• Cleaning the tank:
1- Clean the tank using soapy water and dry it with a soft dry rag.
2- Make sure to pull out the water from the appliance, and dry it before you store it for a long
periode of time.
IMPORTANT: Empty the water inside the product by following the indications on the appliance (empty
it on the right side). Never put water in the piezo tank. Don't put water in the air oultet of the fan (6).
• Cleaning the vaporization compartment (arround the piezo disc 7), the heating element and the
piezo disc.
Rinse regularly (every 3 days) the water base with fresh water and dry it with soft dry rag.
IMPORTANT : make sure that no water gets into the fan air outlet (6).
Regular cleaning of the piezo disc and heating element will avoid scaling. Do not use hard or
abrasive utensils, only use soft materials with the device.
In case of scaling appearance, please refer to the paragraph "SCALE CLEANING AND ANTISCALE
CARTRIDGE".
WARNING : we recommend to give the heating element and the piezo disc a complete clean as
soon as scaling sediment appeared on them to preserve same level of performances.
To avoid any damage to your product, please properly follow the cleaning instructions,
especially not letting water into the fan air outlet (4).
IMPORTANT: Never use abrasive cleaners as these are likely to spoil the appearance of your
appliance. Instead, clean your appliance with a slightly moist rag.

SCALE CLEANING AND ANTISCALE CARTRIDGE
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
1- Turn off the unit and remove the lid.
(IMPORTANT, make sure that no water gets into the fan air outlet).
2- Fill the water tank with 1 centimeter of vineger in the water tank and around the piezo area and
wait for 1 hour to take effect.
3- Empty and remove the scale using a slightly moist rag.
4- Rinse out the water tank and the piezo area with fresh tap water.
(IMPORTANT, make sure that no water gets into the fan air outlet).
5- Your appliance is now ready to be used again.
WARNING: Make sure to properly rinse the tank and the piezo area before using the product.
If you want to prevent the scaling of your water tank, use the ANTISCALE CARTRIDGE.
The Aqua Boost models provided with an anti-scale cartridge are the following:
• HD4040
• HD4045
The anti-scale cartridge is also sold as an accessory (XD6400F0), and is compatible with all
HU40XX and HD40XX models.

STORAGE
When the appliance is not in use, it should be stored in a dry place.
Make sure to empty the tank, clean and dry the appliance before storing it.

IN THE EVENT OF A PROBLEM

Never dismantle your appliance yourself. An incorrectly repaired appliance can be a danger to the user.
Before contacting an approved Service Centre from our network, make sure that the appliance is
in the normal operating position and the air intake and outlet grills are totally unobstructed.
