FAULT
Engine does not start
Engine stalls

POSSIBLE CAUSES

No spark
Difficulty in starting, flooded engine.
Flat battery
Starter cord incorrectly connected
Grass too high or damp.
Mower casing blocked
Closed throttle
Dirty air filter
Carburettor calibration incorrect
Blade badly worn
Blunt blade
Incorrect cutting height
The cutter plate is positioned too low.
Their is no aurflow to the blade and therefore there is no
airflow to convey the grass
Grass too heavy or too damp to be conveyed by the air
stream
Blade badly worn, blunt
Grass is too high caising problems in transportation to
the box.
Casing blocked with previous grass cutting
Drive cable detached
Defective belt
Defective drive chain.
Bowden pulley maladjusted
Cabling defect
Clutch damage
Charging current fuse defect

CORRECTION
Clean the spark plug and replace if necessary.
Check the cable.
Unscrew the plug and dry it.
Recharge.
Check the connection.
Adjust the cutting height, in high position create air flow
by reversing.
Clean the casing (Important: before cleaning extract the
spark plug lead)
Open throttle by moving lever to MAX. pos.
Clean air filter (see engine instructions also).
Have the calibration checked by a soecialized centre.
Replace the blade.
Replace or sharpen blade
Adjust the cutting height
Adjust the cutting height
Wait until the lawn surface has dried off.
Replace or sharpen the blade.
Cut the lawn twice, altering the cutting height accordingly.
Clean the casing (do not use water)
NB: remember to remove the spark plug connector.
Insert the cable
Seek assistance from Service Workshop.
Seek assistance from Service Workshop.
Seek assistance from Service Workshop.

Seek assistance from Service Workshop.
Fit new safety fuse.
