B) HOW TO USE YOUR CB:
1) VOLUME
Turn the rotary volume switch clockwise to adjust the sound level for
comfortable reception.
2) ASC (Automatic Squelch Control)/SQUELCH :
Suppresses undesirable back-ground noises when there are no
communication. Squelch does not effect neither sound nor transmission
power, but allows a considerable improvement in listening comfort.
a) ASC: Automatic Squelch Control
Worldwide patent, a PRESIDENT exclusivity
No repetitive manual adjustment and a permanent improvement in listen-
ing comfort when this function is active. It can be disconnected by turning
the switch (2) clockwise, in this case the manual squelch control becomes
active again.
b) Manual squelch
Turn the squelch knob clockwise to the exact point where all back-ground
noise disappears. This adjustment should be done with precision as, if set to
maximum, (i.e. fully clockwise) only the strongest signals will be received.
3) POWER ON/OFF
Simply press "PWR" button to turn on the C.B mobile. To turn off the C.B mobile,
press and hold the "PWR" button more than 0.5 seconds.
4) LCD(Liquid Crystal Display)
The state-of-the art liquid crystal panel provides the user with visual information
center on the operation and status of the HARRISON
5) CHANNEL UP/DOWN
To go up the channel, turn the channel switch to the right-handed. To go
down the channel, turn the channel switch counterclockwise. Otherwise, you
can go up/down the channel with "▲/▼" button on the MIC.
6) MIC JACK
Jack for connection of speaker microphone.
7) RECALL/MEMORY
a) RECALL : This feature allows the user to activate the stored channels in the
memory button. To access channel in the memory button, simply press the "R/
M" button, and then "M" will appear at the right side on the LCD. Press the
memory button you want to access. Your desired channel number should
appear on the LCD with the corresponding memory button.
b) MEMORY : This feature is used to memorise your most frequently used
channels, allowing immediate access to them in a very convenient, simplistic
method. Your HARRISON has seven user selectable memory channels. You
may program any channel into memory. To program, select a channel using
rotary channel selector or "▲" "▼" button in the MIC. Press "R/M" button for
1.5 second. "M" will appear on the right side on the LCD. Select any memory
button(M1 ~ M7) and press it. The channel is now memorised. If you desire to
change the channel being stored within a memory button, simply repeat the
process described above. The new channel number will be stored over the
channel that was previously in that memory button.
8) FUNCTION/MEMORY 1
a) FUNCTION : This button, when used in conjunction with the buttons on the front
panel, allows access of the function of each button. The HARRISON comes
with the first function of each button. When you turn on the radio "SCAN,
AUTO-Q, MON, BEEP, EMG" will appear on the LCD.
To access the second function of each button, press the "M1" button once
again. Then "BATT, DW, LOCK" will appear at the bottom line on .the LCD.
b) MEMORY 1 : This button is used to store the channel you want at memory
mode.
9) BATTERY,MEMORY 2
a) BATTERY : This feature is showing the Supplied voltage. To access, press "M1"
button until "BATT, DW, LOCK" will appear at the bottom line on the LCD. Press
and hold "M2" button, then supplied voltage will appear at the frequency
location.
