All MELITTA machines are delivered ready for
connection. Before it can be installed, however,
the corresponding supply connections must be
prepared (see connection diagram) and be eas-
ily accessible within a radius of 1 m.
The preparation of the connections may only be
carried out by suitably qualified personnel and
be in strict accordance with the applicable regu-
lations. The MELITTA customer support depart-
ment is not authorised to do this work and can-
not accept any responsibility for it.
The machine must be placed on a solid tabletop
surface.
The machine should not be installed in large
catering kitchens, because it has not been de-
signed for that kind of operation.
a) Electrical connection
The power supply voltage must agree with the
data given on the rating plate. The supply must
have a separate fuse with a rating as defined by
local regulations.

design, there always remains a residual po-
tential danger if a machine is not used cor-
rectly.

It is for this reason and in the interest of your
own safety that we draw your attention to
the precautions below.

observe for your own safety:

MELITTA SystemService will not be liable
for damages arising from through lack of
maintenance, unprofessional work on the
machine or the installation of parts not con-
forming to the original construction.

MELITTA SystemService reserves the right
to carry out, at any time and without prior ar-
rangement, any modifications in the interest
of technical progress.

The machine must not be operated outdo-
ors.

According to accident prevention regulation
BGV A2 of the German trade association,
the operator is obliged to have this electrical
appliance tested for safety in regular inter-
vals by an authorized electrician. The time
interval between two inspections for this
mounted device is no more than 6 month.
The appliance corresponds to BGV A2; it
need not therefore be tested further before
its initial operation.
The prescribed inspection can, on request,
be carried out and confirmed by MELITTA's
Technical Service.
6. Warranty terms Germany
We grant a twelve-month warranty for the proper
functioning of our appliances/installations. The
warranty period commences on the day of instal-
lation. In all other cases the guarantee period
begins at the moment the risk is legally transfer-
red to the customer. During this period, any
defects arising from faulty materials, defective
execution and faulty construction will be repaired
by us or by a company authorized by us, free of
charge, subject to proper use and handling. Any
components replaced become our property.
They must be placed at our disposal.
Any damage to the appliances arising as a con-
sequence of inadequate maintenance and care,
e.g. insufficient descaling, will not be covered by
us, even during the warranty period. We do not
offer any warranty for defects and faults in our
appliances originating from inexpert repair work
or the installation of spare parts not conforming
to the original construction. All components,
which are otherwise subject to normal wear and
tear, are covered exclusively by the statutory
warranty regulations. These include, amongst
others, seals, valves, taps, heat resistors, var-
nishes, switches and thermostats. Acknowledge-
ment of warranty damage only after written
report of the Customer Service Department and
inspection at the factory.
