Before using the appliance for the first time, remove any labels or protective films that might be on the soleplate.
Filling the Boiler with Water Prior to Use
Caution!
Unplug the iron before you fill it with water.
- Place the iron in a horizontal position, and fill the boiler using the measuring cup (12) and
funnel (11) provided (Fig. B).
- NEVER FILL IT WITH MORE THAN 300 ml WATER. This amount corresponds to the
quantity indicated on the measuring cup. If too much water is added, when you start to iron
water will either leak or be sprayed out of the steam holes.
- Do not use any chemical additives and fragrances.
- Empty the boiler after use.
Preparing to Use Your Iron
The safety cap (1) must be properly secured. However, do not screw it on too tightly. NEVER TIGHTEN IT
USING THE CAP SCREW (3). Only turn the safety cap as far as it will go. Screwing it on too tightly could
damage the seal and steam would emit from the safety cap.
It is imperative that you use an absorbent ironing pad.
