Place the winch over the bolts, matching the triangular hole
pattern with the bolt heads. Pull the winch forward slowly
so the bolt heads enters the bolt's keyhole slots. Push the
bolts up slightly to avoid snags.
4. Tighten all three nuts once the bolts are firmly seated.
5.
Place the adapter opening over the hitch ball and pull
forward so the narrow end is against the ball's neck.
6.
The winch is ready for use.
BATTERY CABLE CONNECTION
The battery cables (G) plug directly into the male socket (#9)
on the winch's right-side. A groove on the cable plug ensures
the polarity is correct at the connection.
Remove the terminal wingnuts from the battery. Slide the red
wire ring connector over the battery's positive (+) terminal.
°Slide the black wire ring connector onto the battery's negative
(-) terminal. Tighten the wingnuts and the winch is ready for
the task.
REMOTE CONTROL CONNECTION
The remote plugs into the remote socket (#8) next to the cable
socket. The grove on the remote socket plug ensure the
connection is properly oriented. Remove the plug and reseal
the socket when the task is complete.
HAND CRANK INSTALLATION
NOTICE! Do not use the hand crank to 'assist' the electric
motor. This can damage the internal mechanism.
Make sure there is enough room to operate the hank crank
when the winch is installed.
1.
Remove the nut from the gear shaft.
2.
Slide the hand crank (D) over the shaft.
3.
Tighten the nut to secure.
