Operating instructions for h2 (English)
External ON/OFF switch (momentary/constant contact)
This switch can be placed at any distance from the control panel. Connect with a low-current cable (see Wiring diagram 16–18). If
more than one external on/off switch is used, the switches must be connected in parallel
on and off using the same external switch.
The control panel can also be connected to other items of equipment that transmit an impulse or maintain a constant connection.
Explanation of the function with momentary/constant contact: The control panel is activated (ON) and deactivated (OFF) each time
a switch is pressed or a short impulse is transmitted between terminals (+)19 and (-)20 in the control panel, regardless of whether or
not the panel is locked. The control panel is operational only for the length of time that has been programmed in the initial set-up. A
constant contact switch in a continuous circuit has the same function when the connection is made or broken respectively.
Terminal (-)21 is used to indicate, for example, whether bathing guests are able to see the status of the control panel (in-built in the
Tylö external switch/momentary on/off switch). If the sauna heater is started using an external switch, this is indicated when the
diode on the external switch lights up. If the sauna heater is programmed to start at a later time or is in standby mode, this is
indicated by a flashing diode. When the control panel is OFF, the diode is not lit. The indication function is connected between
terminals (+)19 and (-)21, (12V/DC max. 1.2W 100mA).
Extra control panel
It is possible to connect optional extra control panels (h2) serially from terminal A and B on the sauna heater's circuit board to
terminal A and B respectively on the extra control panel. Current is connected from terminal (+)11 and (-)12 on the steam
generator's circuit board to terminal (+)11 and (-)12 respectively on the extra control panel. See Wiring diagram 19.
Before installing an extra control panel, the sauna heater must first be disconnected from the power supply. After the extra control
panel has been connected, the power supply can be reconnected and the system is ready for use. All the control panels connected
work in parallel: in principle, this means that a selection made on any of the control panels activates the same selection on all of the
other units that are linked together.
However, certain individual settings that do not affect the operation of the sauna heater can be made separately on each panel:
-
Automatic key-lock ON/OFF.
-
Code lock ON/OFF.
-
Sleep mode setting
-
Vibration ON/OFF.
Installing h2
The h2 can be placed inside or outside the sauna room. If the h2 is placed inside the sauna room, the top edge must not be more
than 90 cm above the floor. The control panel is to be connected to the sauna heater using a twisted pair type of cable, 2-LifYCY

2X2X0.2 mm.
Begin by fitting the rubber seal (figure 1). Screw the mounting plate into place at a suitable location, making sure that the electric
cables pass through the opening in the back. Make sure, also, that the plate is oriented so that the hole for the retainer screw is on
the underside. Screw the electrical connections into place on the terminal block as shown in the wiring diagram (figures 2 and 5). To
facilitate this process, the terminal block can be removed from the circuit board. Slide the glass and circuit board of the control panel
upwards into place on the mounting plate and press the bottom edge into place (figure 3). Screw the retainer screw into place
(figure 4).
