Effect On/Off mode
In this mode you can turn on/off the pedal,
modulation, delay, or reverb of the selected
program.
Entering Effect On/Off mode
When you're in Effect On/Off mode, the BANK
display will show the following.
The CHANNEL - FX ON/OFF switch LED will be
lit.
If any other indication is shown, use the pre-
scribed method to enter Effect On/Off mode.
• BANK display shows the bank number
You're in Channel Select mode.
Press the CHANNEL - FX ON/OFF switch to
enter Effect On/Off mode.
• BANK display indicates
name
The tuner is operating.
Press the TUNER switch to return to Effect
On/Off mode or Channel Select mode.
If the BANK display now shows the bank
number, you're in Channel Select mode. Press
the CHANNEL - FX ON/OFF switch.
• BANK display is blinking
You're selecting a program bank.
Press the CHANNEL - FX ON/OFF switch to
cancel the bank selection and return to Effect
On/Off mode or Channel Select mode.
If the BANK display now shows the bank
number, you're in Channel Select mode. Press
the CHANNEL - FX ON/OFF switch.
• BANK display indicates
The connected device is in Manual mode.
First defeat Manual mode on the connected
device, and then look at the VC-12SV's BANK
display and take the appropriate action as
described above.

Effect on/off

Press a foot switch [1]–[4] to turn the correspond-
ing effect on or off.
The LED of the corresponding foot switch will be
lit when the effect is on, or dark when the effect is
off.

Selecting programs

You can select programs from another bank while
you're in Effect On/Off mode.
If you want to select a program from within the
same bank, you'll need to use Channel Select
mode.
1. Press the VC-12SV's BANK UP/DOWN
switch to select the desired bank.
The bank number will blink in the BANK
display.
2. Press a foot switch [1]–[4] to select the desired
channel.
The program will change, and you'll enter
Channel Select mode.
