Volume pedal curve
The VC-12SV lets you choose one of three curves
by which the volume will change when you
operate the volume pedal.
Loud
Soft
returned
Pedal position
• Curve 1: The volume change will be gradual
during the early range of pedal movement, and
will become steeper during the later range of
pedal movement.
• Curve 2: This is the most typical volume
change curve. This curve is selected when the
VC-12SV is shipped from the factory.
• Curve 3: The volume change will appear to be
more significant during the early range of
pedal movement, and perceptually less during
the later range of pedal movement.
Changing the volume curve
You can switch between the three available
volume curves as follows. This setting is remem-
bered until the next time you change it.
1. Power-off the connected device.
2. While holding down the BANK UP switch
and foot switch [1], [2], or [3], power-on the
connected device.
The BANK display will indicate the name of
the selected curve ("C1," "C2," or "C3") for one
second.

Troubleshooting
Power does not turn on
• Is the VC-12SV's VOX BUS MAIN connector
connected correctly?
➔ Check the connection. Power will not be
supplied to a device connected via the VOX
BUS SUB connector.
• Is the connected device powered-on?
• Could the connection cable be broken?
No sound
• Is your guitar connected correctly?
➔ Check the connection.
• Could your guitar's volume be turned down?
• Could the Silent Tuner function be operating?
• Could the volume pedal be in the minimum
position?
➔ Check the setting.
• Could the guitar cable be broken?
Effect is not applied when you turn the effect
on
• Could the connected device be set to bypass
the effect?
➔ Check the settings of the connected device.
The effect will not be available if it is bypassed.
Can't turn on an effect
• Could the effect type be set to OFF (no effect
used) within the connected device?
➔ Check the settings of the connected device.
On some products, you can set the effect type
to OFF.
Can't control the effect by operating the
expression pedal or volume pedal
• Is the function of the expression pedal or
volume pedal set correctly on the connected
device?
➔ Check the settings of the connected device.
Volume pedal is difficult to use
• Is the volume pedal set to the appropriate
volume curve?
➔ Check the setting as described in "Volume
pedal curve" (p.11).
Effect or volume fails to reach the maximum
when you advance the expression pedal or
volume pedal, or fails to reach the minimum
when you return the pedal
• Have you adjusted the pedal sensitivity?
➔ Adjust the sensitivity of the expression pedal
or volume pedal as described in "Adjusting the
sensitivity" (p.10).
