Routeing and connecting cable
The connecting cable must be guided in the door leaf from the lock side to the hinge side. Then the cable
must be routed from the door leaf in the door frame.
1
Route the connecting cable in observance of the following notes:
· We recommend routeing the cable within the door leaf in suitable conduit with an inner diameter
of at least 7 mm.
· Do not kink the conduit; ensure that any required bends are as wide as possible.
· In order to avoid damaging the cable, it may only be guided over rounded corners.
· A flexible lead cover, which is mounted fixed in its connection to the door leaf and frame (chapter
"High-security striking plate", page 59), must be mounted for the transition from the door leaf to the frame.
2
Connect the cable according to the connection diagram (Pic. 8) for the electric security lock 809M and
the corresponding connection plans of the superordinate control system.
3
Check whether the following electrical data of the electric security lock 809M and the superordinate
control system match:
· The supply voltage of the electric security lock 809M must match the output power of the controlling device.
· The power consumption of the electric security lock 809M must match the output power of the
controlling device.
· The maximum switching capacity of the electric security lock 809M may not be exceeded by the
respective circuit to be switched.
· Take into account the voltage loss through the connecting cable so that the electric security lock
809M functions safely.
With activation of the electric security lock 809M by means of an AC voltage output, e.g. with an electric
strike output of an intercom system.
4
Connect a bridge rectifier between the AC voltage output and voltage input.
