MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
DISCONNECT THE APPLIANCE FROM THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY
WORK
It is recommended to check at least once a year:
•
the state and tension of the belt;
•
the play of the blade shaft which is important for processing results;
•
the state of the sealed joints at the base of the dip beam;
•
the state of cleanliness inside the appliance body and the electrical box. If necessary use a vacuum cleaner to
remove dust;
•
the state of the electrical connections (risk of corrosion).
6.1
BELT REPLACEMENT – TENSION
•
Lock the appliance body in the horizontal position.
•
Remove the fastening screws from the top cover.
•
Check the state and tension of the belt.
If the belt must be re-tensioned or replaced: (see figure 7)
1.
Remove the motor casing.
2.
Loosen (by 1 turn) the 4 screws A that secure the motor.
3.
Fully unscrew the screw B if the belt must be replaced and fit the new one, making sure that it is positioned correctly
inside the pulley races.
4.
Tighten screw B just enough to obtain an initial tautness (taut belt without stress).
5.
Continue tightening screw B with approx. another 3 turns to obtain the correct tension.
Lock the 4 screws A in position.
6.
7.
Replace the motor casing.
8.
Replace the top cover

ADJUSTING THE HEIGHT OF THE SAFETY DEVICE
See figure 8
The safety device must be checked regularly to ensure it is in proper working order.
The motor must stop at the following standard disconnecting heights:
•
Minimum height, above or equal to 350 mm.
•
Maximum height less than or equal to 900 mm.
If this is not the case:
•
do not use the appliance;
•
have it adjusted by your dealer's after-sales service.
1) Initial adjustment:
Remove the cover A from the rotation unit to access the mechanism.
- Loosen screws B slightly.
- Turn the cam C slightly.
- Check the disconnecting heights and if necessary continue adjusting.
2) Final adjustment:
- Remove the top cover D.
- Loosen the 2 screws E slightly, which fix the micro-switch F so that it can be moved up or down.
- Lock screws E in position.
- Check the disconnecting heights and if necessary continue adjusting.
Replace the top cover and the cover of the rotation unit.
