3. Advantages of thermal fluid heater with "Presence
Control"
The Eco-Sensor thermal fluid heater includes several simple functions so that
you can use several operating modes that have been designed to satisfy all the
heating requirements that you might have.
Traditional heating systems do not possess precise temperature control. Thanks
to the Haverland Eco-Sensor models, you will be able to precisely control the
temperature in the room where the thermal fluid heater is installed and also
reduce unnecessary power costs.
In addition, your thermal fluid heater includes an innovating system that detects
the presence of people in the room. This intelligent sensor automatically saves
on power consumption when there is nobody in the room.
Thanks to its digital electronic timer-thermostat, you
decide on the most suitable temperature during both
day and night. With the NINE STANDARD PRO-
GRAMS (P1 to P9), and the FOUR USER-CONFI-
GURABLE PROGRAMS (U1 to U4), you will have all
possibilities fully covered so that you will be able to
obtain the level of comfort required at any given time
and in any situation.
With the nine standard programs, you will be able to control the various areas in
your home: dining room, lounge, kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms etc. Each
program is designed according to the use made of the various rooms at certain
times of the day.
Moreover, the heater recognises each day of the week.
The heating temperature during the day is divided into two types:
Comfort temperature: This is the temperature you require when the room in
which the heater is installed is being occupied (for example, 22 ºC).
Economic temperature: This is the temperature for the same room when it is
not being occupied. It is a room maintenance temperature that prevents it from
falling too low and it prevents the change in temperature that exists between an
unheated room and one at the temperature you require.
One example of an economic temperature choice is provided below:
- When you switch the heater on, make a note of the room temperature shown
on the display, and then program the economic temperature so that it is two or
three degrees higher than this.

5. Installation Instructions

Important notes:
For the best operation of your ECO-Sensor, it is necessary to correctly
delimit the detection area. As a first option, you should always attempt to
locate the heater below a window. The actual location must always be consi-
dered before installation since the detection angle is approximately 110 º.
Several examples are described below.
Before installing your heater in any room at home, the following points must be
taken into account:
o The Eco-Sensor detection angle (approximately 110 º).
o Determine the area where movement of people will take place for correct
Eco-Sensor operation.
o Take the precaution of not placing anything in front of the sensor, such as
a sofa, or behind doors, curtains or furniture etc.

o Ensure that there is a wall socket close the heater.
o If the heater is to be installed in a bathroom, it must be located so that it is
impossible for it to be touched by someone from the bath or shower.
Taking into account these instructions, the heater may be installed by following
the instructions described below.
Installation
It is essential that the heater BE FIRMLY FIXED TO A FLAT AND LEVELLED
WALL. You should also ensure that the heater is COMPLETELY VERTICAL with
respect to the floor. It is very important to strictly adhere to the following instruc-
tions.
1º Open the packing case and make sure that the heater is in perfect condition.
ENSURE THAT THERE IS A MAINS POWER SOCKET LOCATED WHERE
THE HEATER IS TO BE INSTALLED.
PAG. 37
This example shows the
heater installed in an INCO-
RRECT location.
As can be seen, there is an
area of no-detection (hat-
ched area), which includes
the two armchairs and the
three-seat sofa.
On the other hand, this site
shows the heater installed in
a CORRECT location.
By changing the wall where
the heater is located, the no-
detection area (hatched
area) is reduced to the furni-
ture. Thus, we have covered
the area in which we pro-
bably spend most time in this
room.
In this example, we have loca-
ted the heater behind the
door, which completely covers
the sensor detection angle.
That´s is why the location in
the room where the appliance
is installed is so important.
Important note: As a first
option, you should always
attempt to locate the heater
below a window.
