Witter KA40U Instructions De Montage

MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar
B 1 Sidearm
C 1 Angle Cleat.
D 4 M10 x 30 x 1.25 fine pitch Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (25mm OD.)
E 4 M12 x 35 x 1.75 Bolts, Lock Washers and Nuts
F 2 M10 x 30 x 1.25 fine pitch Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (25mm OD.)
G 2 M12 x 35 x 1.75 Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and 4 Flat Washers (25mm OD.)
ZE 1 Retractable Electrical Plate
ZN 1 Neck Kit.
Note: This tow bar must be used with either a Witter Neck Kit or Class A50-1 or A50-X tow ball dimensionally Conforming to A50-1
with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the tow bar.
FITTING
1. Remove the plastic under trays from each corner
2. Remove any protective tape/coating covering the mounting points (D & F) in each chassis rail.
3. Loosely attach Bent Cleat (C) and Sidearm (B) to existing captive nuts in vehicle chassis using fasteners (D & F).
4. Loosely secure Angle Cleats (C) to Side Arms (B) using fasteners (G)..
5. Loosely attach Crossbar (A) to Side Brackets (B) using fasteners (E).
6. Loosely attach Neck option (ZN) and Electrical Plate (ZE) to Crossbar (A) using separate Neck fitting instructions.
7. Fully tighten all bolts
Recommended torque settings:
Grade 8.8: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
Grade 10.9: M12 – 139Nm, M10 – 78Nm
