11-SET UP AND ADJUSTMENTS

11.1 FILM THREADING

FILM REEL CARRIAGE WITH MECHANICAL BRAKE
Position a reel of film on the reel holder and fix it in place with the
locknut as shown in
the drawing.
Maximum reel diameter: 300 mm
Maximum film height: 500 mm
Release the brake of the rubber by the lever.
Thread the film as shown on the label located on top of the film carriage.
Note: Most strechable films have an adhesive side. Make sure that this
side is positioned as in the drawing. If the film reel is wound with the adhe-
sive side inwards, reverse it and use the threading route shown by the
broken line in the drawing.
Lock the lever of the brake in the horizontal position.
