HOW TO MAINTAIN THE CANISTER VACUUM CLEANER
ENGLISH
CAUTION: Always unplug vacuum cleaner
before changing the dust bag or filters.
1. The s-bag
Replacing the s-bag
dust bag must be replaced
®
when the indicator window (A) is
completely red, even if the bag is not
completely full. Also replace after
vacuuming carpet cleaning powder.
Use only an Electrolux s-bag
Indicator may blink under normal usage.
Read indicator only with nozzle lifted.
2. Press tabs on each side of hose and
pull out. Press 'Open' bar and raise
cover.
3. Lift out dust bag holder.
4. Pull back cardboard frame to remove
the s-bag
. This will seal the s-bag
®
prevent dust from leaking out.
5. To insert new s-bag
frame into grooves on dust bag holder.
6. Reinsert dust bag holder into canister.
Close cover.
Replacing the motor filter
Replace motor filter with every fifth
replacement of the dust bag.
1. With dust bag and holder lifted out,
press tab at top and pull out filter frame.
2. Carefully pull off soiled filter and replace
with new motor filter.
3. Reattach motor filter holder inside dust
bag cavity.
4. Reinsert dust bag holder. Close cover.
Replace as needed.
Replacing the HEPA s-filter
1. Press back on tabs at edge of HEPA
s-filter (A) nearest suction power dial.
At the same time, use other hand to lift
filter up and out.
2. Replace filter in position. Close cover.
3. Washable HEPA s-filter is available for
purchase (see page 19). Wash filter
and dry thoroughly for 24 hours before
replacing in canister.
