The Heating Unit must be mounted in a horiz
Water circuit (min. ¾", max. 1") has to be installed according to the following sequence
(see the scheme):
( 2) Mount circulation pump on heating unit.
-> Connect the pump's cable with the pump. .
( 3) Install non-return valve
(18) Install water filter
( 7) Install automatic vent valve: must be at highest point of circuit in a
frost-protected-room (black knurled screw has to be in open position!)
( 6) Install safety valve.
(16) Install SUEVIA Drinking Bowls into the circuit connected at the top and the bottom
(15) Install drain cock
(11) Install shut-off valve (for the main and the bypass-management)
(12) Install manual ventilation valve
(17) Install Flow control Ref. 101.0309
( 5) Mount non-return flap.
( 4) Fix the adjustable return flow thermostat on metal pipeline.
( 8) Fix firmly thermostat on metal pipe.
-> Attention: when installing it you have to take care that the sensors rest against the pipe <-
(19) Mount heating cable in frost-protected areas or in non-draughty locations.
(13) Insulate pipes minimum thickness 30 mm, heat conductivity
(14) Mount bite protection
(10) I nstall residual current divices.
Heating Unit must be used with two
Unit location:
Installation must be in a dry, frost- and draught-protected room and at an accessible height.
Pipe insulation:
IMPORTANT! Insulation of complete pipe system is indispensible,
-> minimum thickness 30 mm, heat conductivity
Water line has to be insulated against condensation of water and heat loss.
Water connection:
Water supply line 1", water outlet line 1", circuit piping: min. ¾", max. 1",
Water pressure has to be between min. 1 bar (14 psi) - max. 4 bar (58 psi)!
If water pressure is lower than recommended, install a pressure intensifier.
If water pressure is higher than recommended, install a pressure reducer valve.
Circuit length :
Length of the insulated water tube system incl. all return pipes should not exceed 250 m (820 feet)
Circulation pump :
Circulation pump must run on positon 3.
Circulation pump has to be bled (see page 23).
The height difference between entry and return pipeline should not exceed 7 meters.
Functioning capability of circulation pump has to be constantly checked!
Application field:
SUEVIA Heating Unit Mod. 311 is exclusively designed to keep water pipes frost-free in stables
for animals. It can only be used for warming up water, other liquids are not allowed!
