DALI/DMX module 20004600
The DALI/DMX module art. 20004600 converts SimpleHome system commands to commands
on the DALI or DMX communication BUS. The module cannot convert to both communication
protocols at the same time. A selector on the module is used to select one of the two
communication BUS options.
Commands may be sent to 64 addresses. A command sent to an RGB power supply unit
occupies 3 addresses (1 for each colour). Devices on DMX or DALI BUSes can be controlled
simply by buttons connected to SimpleHome system digital inputs or by supervisors
(Minitouch, Planux Manager, etc...).
The commands sent over both BUSes do not include status responses. Variations made using
control devices which are not part of the SimpleHome system are not reported by the system
supervisors.
Group (or zone) commands can be sent from a button to various power supply units, but only
for power on / power off procedures.
DMX system interfacing
Commands sent to DMX power supply units can switch the connected light source on / off,
dim it or adjust its colour (if using RGB lights). An RGB lamp can be controlled by a button
connected to a digital input on the SimpleHome module, allowing the adjustment of colour,
intensity, or both. The same adjustments can be made via the supervisors.
The DMX BUS is not powered and can therefore be connected directly to module 20004600
with a single DMX power supply unit, without requiring additional elements. DMX module
addressing usually takes place directly on the power supply unit via a dip switch or rotary
switch.
DALI system interfacing
Commands sent to the DALI interface offer individual DALI power supply unit control via
buttons or supervisors. The brightness of various power supply units can only be adjusted
via a scenario, by setting a value for each lamp. In this case, scenario activation - which can
take place using a button or a supervisor - will always bring all lamps to that value. Different
scenarios must be set in order to have a variety of set points available.
The DALI BUS needs a power supply, which must be provided by a suitable power supply
unit (not included). DALI module addressing and programming must take place via a
suitable control unit or DALI system programmer (not included).
The SimpleHome system programming software must be used to program module 20004600.

system technical manual, available on the website
