These operations must always be carried out with the presence of qualified staff who
can provide the necessary assistance if required.
NEVER work in environments whose atmosphere contains flammable gases or
combustible vapors (such as oil or its vapors).
EXTENSION CORD.
Replace damaged cables immediately. The use of damaged cables can result in electric
shock, burns or electrocution.
Shall an extension cable be necessary, it must be used with the appropriate size of
conductors and an admissible power equal to, or greater than that indicated on the
nameplate of the machine or in this manual.
The extension cable must have a ground conductor and be connected to a power source
with a ground connection.

COMMISSIONING.

WELDING CABLES.
Proceed to connect the welding cables, only when the machine is unplugged.
The clamp of the ground cable must be connected to the work piece, ensuring that there is direct
contact with the piece and avoiding varnished surfaces and/or non-metallic materials. The
instructions of the electrode manufacturer regarding the correct polarity must be considered. If
the piece is not connected to ground for electrical safety or due to its size or position, for
instance, ship hulls or metal structures of buildings, a direct connection to ground must be
established. Welding cables should be kept as short as possible. They need to be positioned close
to each other, at or near floor level. It is not recommended to replace the cables included with
the machine with longer ones.
