Fitting your pet door

Your Staywell pet door is fi tted with the red 4 way locks on the
inside of your house.
If required, the optional
tunnel should be fi tted at
this stage.

Ensure that the tunnel templates are
fi rmly in position. (Fig. 5).

Measure the depth of the hole cut in your door (Y).

From this measurement, take off 8mm (
measurement of (Z).

(Z) is the depth that the short and long tunnel
pieces should be cut to. (Fig. 7).

If the screws are too long they may need to be cut down to match the
depth of your door. Using over long screws may damage the pet door.
The screws should be removed from the pet door before cutting if
necessary. File down to ensure no sharp edges.
Finally, cover the screw holes with the blanking plugs on the inside and
outside frames to ensure a neat fi nish.
Your Staywell pet door is now ready to use.
Firmly but carefully insert the short
and long tunnel pieces into the template
on the rear frame using the side that
has NOT been cut. This ridge will
ensure the tunnel pieces stay in place.

Position the rear and front frames into
the hole and use the 4 screws and
nuts to clamp and secure them fi rmly
into place. Be careful not to over
tighten the screws. (Fig. 9).
