Wijzigen van de COM poort instelling
Wanneer de CM-USB een andere COM poort instelling heeft gekozen dan COM1, 2, 3 of 4,
dan dient u dit te wijzigen:
a. Klik met uw rechtermuisknop op "Deze computer" (My Computer) op het bureaublad en
kies Eigenschappen (Properties).
b. Kies het tabblad Hardware (Hardware).
c. Kies Apparaatbeheer (Device Manager).
d. Open het mapje "Poorten COM & LPT" (Ports COM & LPT)
In dit rijtje treft u "Prolific USB-to-Serial COMM port" (afbeelding 1).
e. Selecteer Profilic USB-to-Serial COMM port en kies Eigenschappen (Properties).
f. Kies het tabblad poortinstellingen (afbeelding 4) (Port Settings).

g. Klik op Geavanceerd (Advanced).
h. In het scherm Geavanceerde instellingen kunt u via het keuzevakje COM-poortnummer
(COM port number) een andere COM-poort kiezen (afbeelding 5). Kies een COM poort
welke niet in het rijtje "Poorten COM & LPT" voorkomt (afbeelding 1).
In sommige windowsversies (98, ME) kunt u het COM-poortnummer niet wijzigen in het scherm
geavanceerd. In dit geval dient u andere applicaties welke gebruik maken van COM3 of COM4
van uw systeem te verwijderen en daarna CM-USB te installeren. CM-USB neemt dan automatisch
COM3 of COM4 aan. Na installatie van CM-USB kunt u uw eigen applicatie opnieuw installeren.
