Safety information
OASE has manufactured this unit according to the highest quality standards and the valid safety regulations. In spite of
the above, hazards for persons and assets can emanate from this unit if it is used in an improper manner or not in
accordance with its intended use, or if the safety instructions are ignored.
For safety reasons, children and young persons under 16 years of age as well as persons who cannot recognise
possible danger or who are not familiar with these operating instructions, are not permitted to use the unit!
Please keep these operating instructions in a safe place! Also hand over the operating instructions when passing the unit
on to a new owner. Ensure that all work with this unit is only carried out in accordance with these instructions.
The combination of water and electricity can lead to danger to life and limb, if the unit is incorrectly connected and
misused. Only use the unit if no persons are in the water! Prior to reaching into the water, always disconnect the power
supply to all units used in the water. Compare the electrical values of the power supply with those on the type plate on
the packing or on the unit itself. Ensure that the unit is fused for a rated residual current of max. 30 mA via a residual
current-operating system. Only operate the unit when plugged into a correctly fitted socket. Keep the power plug and all
connection points dry! Protect the connection cable when burying to avoid damage. Only use cables, equipment,
adapters, extension or connection cables with an earthed contact and approved for outside use. Do not carry or pull the
unit by the connection cable! Never operate the unit if the cable or housing are defective! Nautilus 200-450: In case the
mains connection cableof the unit is damaged, have it replaced by the manufacturer in order to prevent hazards. Nautilus
50-150: These units do not allow a change of the power cable! If the cable is damaged, the entire unit has to be disposed
of. Electrical installations at garden ponds must meet the international and national regulations valid for installers. Never
open the unit housing or its attendant components, unless this is explicitly mentioned in the operating instructions. Never
carry out technical changes to the unit. Only use original spare parts and accessories. Only allow authorised customer
service outlets to perform repairs. Never run the unit without water! Never use the pump for fluids other than water! For
your own safety, consult a qualified electrician when you have questions or encounter problems!
Electrical connection
Only entrust an authorised expert to carry out the electrical connection in accordance with the German EVU and VDE. VDE
0100 Part 702 is valid for all installations. Refer to the type plate for all capacity parameters. Powerregulation is only possible
with the OASE FM-Master 3. Only perform any work on the unit when isolated!
Installation
The unit can only be operated with the filter wings attached to the pump body (A = delivered condition) or with a separate
filter wing adapter (B)
Fit the nozzle tube
Nautilus 50 - 150: Plug the nozzle tube (6) through the blue union nut.
Nautilus 200 - 450: Fit the bottom nozzle tube (6) through the blue union nut, screw connect the ball bearing, fit the top
nozzle tube through the black union unit and bolt this to the bottom nozzle tube.
Nautilus 50 - 450: Bolt the nozzle holder (7) on the top tube, screw in the desired nozzle, then loosely screw the union
nut on the top outlet of the pump filter.
Set-up the unit
Place the unit and, if applicable, the filter wing adapter in the pond as horizontal as possible on a firm, sludge-free ground,
ensure that it is completely covered with water, at a maximum of 2.0 m below the water level. Set the nozzle tube to the
desired height and inclination above the water surface, then fasten the blue union nut.
Attention! Never operate the unit without water!
In operating mode (A) swivel the filter wings on the pump filter upward. Optional water spitters are fitted to a regulating
connection (3), the OASE-lights to the light holders (4).
Start-up
The unit switches on automatically when connected to power. Height and shape of the fountain depends on the nozzle
used. The fountain height can also be regulated by turning the flow regulator on the unit (8) or on the filter wing adapter
(10). The power supply must be disconnected to switch off the unit.
Maintenance and cleaning
Attention! Always pull out the power plug prior to starting cleaning and maintenance work!
Remove the unit from the pond for cleaning. Should the performance decline, clean the filter housing (1), the filter wings
(2) and the screen (9).
Important! Nautilus 200 - 450: Never open the pump yourself! Should the rotor be blocked due to soiling, please
contact a qualified electrician!
Nautilus 50 - 150: Dismantle the pump if the rotor is blocked by soiling: Unscrew the water distributor, check the sealing
ring and replace, if necessary. If the filter wing adapter is used, remove the hose connector from the pump. Remove the
pump lid (Nautilus 50) or screw off the pump housing (Nautilus 80 - 150). Pull out, clean, check and, if necessary, replace
the rotor. Reassembly in the reverse order.
Replace the sealing ring in the nozzle tube
Nautilus 50 - 150: Undo the blue union nut and remove the nozzle tube. Push the two sections of the nozzle tube into
each other (ensure that the nose fits in the gap), replace the sealing ring which now becomes visible, pull both tubes apart
again, then screw on the nozzle tube on the pump filter using the union nut, align the nozzle tube and retighten using the
union nut.
Nautilus 200 - 450: Undo the black union nut and remove the top tube of the nozzle tube, remove the black union nut,
replace the sealing ring, pull the union nut over the top tube and screw securely to the bottom tube, then align the nozzle
tube and retighten using the blue union nut.
