Operating instructions
-
Only operate the device from an electrical outlet that has been installed as
prescribed by directive with protective earthing.
-
Never use installations, adapters, extension or connecting cords without PE
protection!
-
Insure that the device is supplied via residual power protection circuit with a
measures residual current of maximum 30 mA.
-
Electrical installations for garden ponds and swimming pools must correspond
to the national construction determinations.
-
Never pull the device, or carry the device, by the connecting cable.
-
Keep the power plug and all connecting points dry.
-
Layout the connecting cable so that it is protected and that the possibility of
damage is excluded.
-
If you require an extension cord: Only use cable that is approved for outdoor
use. Secure the plug connection from moisture.
Operating notes
-
Attention! Always unplug the power plug before opening the pump filter for
maintenance work.
-
The integrated temperature monitor shuts off the device automatically in the
case of overload. After the motor cools down the device automatically switches
on again.
-
Never pump any liquid other than water!
-
Never operate the pump without water (dry run). The pump bearings will be
destroyed! Please note that the water level in your pond can drop during
longer dry periods.
5. Placing in service
-
You must read and comply with the safety instructions (chap. 4)
before placing in service!
-
The Atlantis switches on automatically when you establish the electrical con-
nection. Therefore, first follow all steps for assembly and setup.
Assembly (Fig. 1 1 1 1 1 )
You require a hose with a connecting size of 1" to 11/2". Friction decreases the
pump performance, therefore
-
use the thickest hose possible
-
keep the hose connections short
-
reduce curvature, angles and other connecting elements to a minimum.
The flow-rate valve can be installed at any point on the hose or on the water outlet.
In the hose:
1. Use two pieces of hose, or cut your hose at the desired point with a knife, for
example.
2. Insert each of the ends thus produced into a hose adapter.
3. Screw the flow-rate valve onto the two hose adapters.
On the water outlet:
1. Put a hose adapter on the hose.
2. Screw the flow-rate valve onto the hose adapters.
3. Connect the water outlet to the watercourse or waterfall spring.
Assemble pump:
1. Pull the threaded collar over the hose adapter and screw it onto the pump
outlet, but do not fasten it tightly.
2. Insert hose.
