INP NPN, slow counting input: the counter
increments the value by one at each volt-
age drop to < 2 V at terminal 5

RESET MANUEL ENABLE
Reset key enable input: when terminal 6 is
connected to GND or to 0 V (< 2 V), the
key allows resetting the counter to 0
7
RESET, Reset input, when terminal 7 is
connected to GND or to 0 V (< 2V), the
counter is reset to 0 (electronic Reset)

3.2.1.1 Function of the front key
Pressing the red front side key resets the counter to
0. This function is only active when input 6 is set to
0 V or connected to GND.

Service counter with 2 messages, "Service" and
"PreService", and one output. Fast and slow
(bounce-free) input, electronic and manual Reset
possible. With one single Reset, the counter con-
tinues counting up to the following service interval.
No resetting to 0 occurs. If the Reset key or the
Reset input is activated a second time within
4 s, the device is reset to its delivery condition.
(The counter value is reset to 0, the message dis-
play preselections are reset to 5000 and 4900!).
Example: service after 5000 pulses, "SErViCE"
Pre-alarm at 4900 pulses, "PrESErV"
(= 5000 – 100)
If a pre-alarm is set "PrESErV": the following mes-
sage is displayed alternately with the current value
The recommended setting is 100 pulses before the
service preselection. In the above example, the
pre-alarm occurs when the counter reaches 4900
and it remains set until the service preselection is
reached.
After 5000 pulses, the following message is dis-
played alternately with the current value
and the output at terminal 8 becomes active. This
alternating display and the output set remain active
until the counter is reset. For example, if the coun-
ter is reset when it displays the value 6000, the
blinking display and the output are reset. The dis-
play shows for 4 s the new preselection value, and
then switches to the current counter value. The
message "SErViCE" and the output will be set ac-
tive again when the counter reaches 11000
(6000+5000).
