IV - Assembly instructions
1
Charging the battery
ATTENTION! Inspect whether voltage on
the data plate of the device corresponds
to the voltage of your mains prior to
connecting the charger.
Use only the enclosed charger and the
original rechargeable battery.
ATTENTION! The battery can be charged
only at a battery temperature between 0°C
and 50°C.
The integrated temperature control system
ensures that the battery can be charged
GB
only in the optimum temperature range and
therefore maximizes the service life of the
battery.
The battery (10) must be charged prior to
first use. Slide the battery (10) onto the
charger (12), until the battery lock (6) has
locked (see diagram B).
Plug the power supply unit into a suitable
socket. The power indicator(13) of the
charger will light up (Fig. D). The following
operating statuses are displayed:
- No battery connected: GREEN
- Battery is charging: RED
- Battery charged, charging completed:
GREEN.
When the battery is fully charged, remove
the power supply unit from the socket.
Replacement or additional batteries can be
obtained from our service partner.

2
Inserting the battery into the cordless
drill
Push the rechargeable battery (10) into the
base of the cordless drill from the back.
Do not use force to insert the battery (10).
The battery (10) can be inserted easily and
without resistance. The battery (10) must be
fully inserted until the battery lock (6) audibly
locks (see diagram A.a.).
3
Removing the battery from the cordless
drill
To remove the battery (10), push the battery
lock (6) down and pull the battery (10) from
the base of the cordless drill (see diagram
A.a.).
4
Inserting tool bits
ATTENTION! Prior to changing drills
or screw bits, always set the rotational
direction switch (7) to neutral in order
to prevent an accidental start of the
machine.
The cordless drill is equipped with a quick-
release chuck (2); a chuck key is not
required to insert the bit.
Ensure that the drill (1) or the screw bit (1)
does not become wedged when tightening
the quick-release chuck.
Prior to inserting the drill/screw bit (1),
ensure that the claws of the quick-release
chuck (2) open: turn the quick-release chuck
(2) counter-clockwise. Open the quick-
release chuck (2) wide enough to insert the
bit (1).
Fully insert the drill/screw bit (1) and tighten
the quick-release chuck (2) clockwise.
To remove the bit (1), turn the quick-release
chuck (2) counter-clockwise.
Open the quick-release chuck (2) wide
enough to remove the bit (1).
V - Operating instructions
1
Intended use
The cordless drill is suitable for tightening
and loosening screws as well as for drilling
material like wood, metal, or plastic. It is
designed for domestic use.
This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
2
On/ Off operation
Switching on:
To start the appliance, squeeze on the On/
Off switch 8 and then keep it pressed down.
The speed of the switched on power tool can
be variably adjusted, depending on how far
the On/Off switch 8 is pressed.
Light pressure on the On/Off switch 8 results
in a low rotational speed. Further pressure
on the switch results in an increase in speed.
Switching off:
To stop the appliance, release the On/Off
switch 8.
3
Mechanical gears
The cordless drill is equipped with 2
mechanical gears, which can be controlled
via the selector switch (4).
Select 1.- gear: push the selector switch (4)
toward the chuck (2); the engraved number
"I" will now be visible on the selector switch
(4).
Select 2.- gear: push the selector switch
(4) away from the chuck (2); the engraved
number "2" will now be visible on the selector
switch (4).
Use 1.- gear: in first gear, the cordless
drill uses a low rotational speed and a high
torque. This setting is used for drilling holes
with a large diameter, for drilling in wood
and plastic, as well as for the use as a
screwdriver.
Use 2.- gear: in second gear, the cordless
drill uses a high rotational speed and a low
torque. This setting is used for drilling holes
with a small diameter and for drilling in
metal.
4
Setting left/right rotation setting
WARNING! The cordless drill must come
to a full stop prior to using the switch for
the rotational direction; otherwise it may be
damaged.
Use the switch (7) to switch between the
common right rotation (clockwise rotation)
and left rotation (counter-clockwise rotation).
If the switch for the rotation setting is in the
middle position, the on/off push button (8) is
blocked and cannot be pushed.
ATTENTION! Always set the switch for
the rotational direction (7) into the middle
position after using the cordless drill in order
to prevent an accidental start-up of the
machine.
