Brush Inspection
Remove the plate cover, check the motor brushes after the
first 50 hours of use for a new machine or after a new set of
brushes have been installed. After the first check, examine
them every 10hours of use.
When the carbon is worn to 6mm in length or if the spring or
shunt wire is burned or damaged, replace both brushes. If the
brushes are found serviceable after removing, reinstall them.
