CAUTION:
Before working on the device, disconnect the power supply to the device in
order to avoid injury, damage to the device or environmental damage.
The pump is equipped with a tinned cable with silicone insulation and a
cross-section of 2.5 mm
CAUTION:
To avoid damage to the device in the event of a short circuit, a fuse of the
correct rating must always be installed. Failure to install a correctly rated fuse
will increase the risk of pump malfunction, possibly resulting in injury to per-
sons and/or a fire hazard.
CAUTION:
The pump is not suitable for use in areas with a potentially explosive atmo-
sphere.

Hose installation:

This pump is designed for use with flexible hoses. Rigid pipes or hoses can
damage the pump or the pump outlet.
Factors that can limit the flow of the bilge pump include the following:
• Length of outlet hose (a longer hose reduces the flow)
• Number of bends and their radii
• Reduction of the cross section (hose constriction) by components of the out-
flow system, e.g., non-return valves and chassis lead-throughs
The outlet hose must be attached to the hose plug nipple with stainless steel
hose clamps.
