MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Tube
D 1 Electrical/Safety chain bracket (Option 2 - Only)
ZE 1 Electrical Plate
E 4 M12 x 40 x 1.75mm Bolts, Lock Washers, 4 Large Flat Washers (30mm O.D.), Nut Retainers and M12 x
1.75mm Square Nuts.
G 1 M10 x 20 x 1.5mm Bolt, Nyloc Nut and 2 off 20mm Flat Washers (Option 2 - Only)
SC 1 Safety chain bracket (Option 1 – Only)
FITTING
1. Remove bumper (Torx head screws around each wheel arch, along lower edge of rear panel, beneath each light
cluster (light cluster must be removed)).
2. Remove bumper cross beam from vehicle and discard (or retain for fitment when towbar is removed). Insert
Cross Bar inside chassis and loosely secure using Bolts (E) at existing holes (covered in tape) with Large Flat
Washers –
3. Option 1: Remove lower skirt and replace with 'removable panel' type (not supplied contact car dealer for
parts ) Fit Detachable unit (ZQ) to upper set of holes (refer to ZQ fitting instruction) with Electrical Plate (ZE) and
Safety Chain Bracket (SC).
4. Option 2: Cut bumper as shown below. Fit Detachable unit (ZQ) to lower set of holes (refer to ZQ fitting
instruction) with Electrical Plate (ZE) and Safety Chain Bracket (D) –fit Bolt (G) before ZQ housing.
5. Refit Bumper.
Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts: M8 - 24Nm, M10 - 52 Nm, M12 - 80 Nm, M14 - 130 Nm, M16 - 200
Nm Grade 10.9: M12 – 120Nm, M10 – 70Nm M8- 35Nm
TOWBAR For Golf mk5 and 6, Audi A3 3

with bumper lower skirt with removable
panel – contact Audi/Volkswagen with
vehicle ID for parts.
Option 2 (Golf MK5 & 6 & Audi A3): Cut
